This page explains how menu editors can control whether a dish appears in the live menu.
In MSlide for Food Menus, menu visibility is controlled through the price field in Google Sheets. If a dish has a price, it remains visible in the live menu. If the price is removed, the dish is hidden from the guest-facing menu.
This is useful when a dish is temporarily sold out, unavailable for the day, seasonal, or removed from the menu for a longer period.
To hide a menu item, open the Google Sheets file and locate the row that contains the dish price. Delete the price from the content cell. Once the price is removed, the corresponding dish item is no longer shown in the live menu. This matches the current workflow described in the menu visibility tutorial.
Do not delete the dish title, description, or reference ID. Only remove the price value.
This keeps the menu item available in the spreadsheet, so it can be restored later by adding the price again.
Add the price back into the correct price row in Google Sheets. Once the price is restored, the dish can appear again in the live menu.
